NCP engineering Simplifies Installation Management of its Juniper Edition IPsec VPN Client for Enterprises
Remote Access VPN Software Provider Also Updates Tailored IPsec VPN Client for Juniper Junos and ScreenOS Customers

NCP Secure Client - Juniper Edition
Mountain View, CA—November 29, 2011—NCP engineering today announced the availability of a new version of its IPsec VPN client compatible with Windows 32-/64-bit operating systems and specifically designed for Juniper Networks’ customers using the Junos and ScreenOS platforms. In combination with version 9.3, the company has also made a local license server available to help enterprises simplify the management of VPN client license assignments, transfers and updates.
Key Facts
- The NCP Secure Client - Juniper Edition for Windows 32-/64-bit operating systems allows for seamless connectivity to Juniper’s VPN gateways. Using the IPsec VPN client and the local license server, companies are now able to easily migrate large numbers of users with Juniper’s end-of-life Netscreen-Remote VPN Client to NCP's software.
- The local license server allows IT administrators to centrally assign any number of NCP Juniper Edition IPsec VPN client licenses to the same number of end-devices. Licenses can be bundled, and are comfortably and securely assigned via VPN. This protects license transfers between clients and the server from manipulation and theft. If an employee quits, his or her license can easily be transferred to another employee. The local license server is also able to download and manage license updates from NCP's activation server.
- Another helpful new feature provides the ability to test Internet availability. The help menu of the NCP Secure Client – Juniper Edition offers the necessary tests, which help support staff with fault isolation. Plus, by selecting the menu item, "Check for updates", it is possible to configure an automatic update cycle (never, daily, weekly or monthly).
