Doubtlessly, both technologies, SSL and IPsec, have a right to exist and their own advantages. For a long time, it was common to belief that SSL would cover all remote access requirements - this, however, has not come true. Therefore the choice of the best remote access technology should not be a question of SSL or IPsec but a statement saying SSL and IPsec. 

IPsec is the better option for your employees or for power users. A clientless SSL VPN, however, is more suitable if you wish to connect sporadic users, customers and suppliers to your network. 

It should be your decision which technology best suits your requirements, not the decision of the supplier's product portfolio.
