NCP was consulted for the deployment of the baggage conveyor solution EAGLE (Electronic Automatic Baggage Loading Equipment) at Munich Airport. Data collected via mobile device with integrated barcode reader, need to be transmitted with high security via public WLAN to the EAGLE server.
This sensitive information forms the basis for additional processes, e.g.
- Handling documentation
- Visualisation of the baggage check status for the airline
- Short response times for unloading requests by the airline
Deployed NCP-solution:
Barcode capture via robust PDAs with integrated barcode readers (Windows CE), scan data transmission via public WLAN at the airport, strong authentication with soft certificate, IPSec VPN infrastructure: NCP Secure Enterprise CE Client, NCP Secure Enterprise Server.
