NCP Secure Enterprise High Availability Services | | Registration |
Access to data and resources on the company network must be facilitated around the clock, on 365 days a year without fault. After all: only disruption free operations of your VPN systems will safeguard the success of your investment.
No matter, whether you operate a single NCP Secure Enterprise Server, or an entire server farm: Our NCP Secure Enterprise High Availability (HA) Services will maximise availability and minimise downtime for your central systems – offering you comprehensive cover against all eventualities.
The HA server software ensures the following scope of services (depending on the number of installed NCP Secure Enterprise Servers):
- One NCP Secure Enterprise Server, i.e. backup functionalities are an issue;
You will need to install a NCP Secure Enterprise Failsafe Server (FS Server). In case of disruption, the system will automatically switch over to a Secure Enterprise Server backup system. - Several NCP Secure Enterprise Server with parallel operations, i.e. requirement for balanced system load functionalities as well as backup features; implementation of an NCP Secure Enterprise Load Balancing Server (LB server). In case of disruption, the faulty VPN gateway will be automatically excluded from productivity operations. VPN tunnels will then be distributed among the remaining VPN systems.

FS and LB servers are also laid out in redundant systems for additional security. Configuration changes, updates and upgrades for Failsafe or Load Balancing servers are carried out via the Windows interface of the High Availability Manager (included in the standard solution package).
High Availability Services provide additional security in case of disruption; i.e. all installed VPN tunnels of the NCP VPN gateways will always be fully available. Configuration is easily carried out via our High Availability Manager utility (included in the standard solution package), which can be installed on any console computer within the LAN.
Supported operating systems: - Windows: Windows XP Prof. (incl. SP2), Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 2003
