The NCP Secure Enterprise Server is a centralised dial-in platform for all remote devices of a company. It forms the tunnel endpoint for all mobile and stationary teleworkers and remote VPN gateways, e.g. branch office networks. Der NCP Secure Enterprise Server controls and monitors all VPN connections into and out of the company network.
As a hybrid VPN gateway, the NCP VPN gateway supports the tunnel protocols IPSec and SSL. This in turn facilitates generous teleworking facilities, e.g. universal access to the company network from PC based workplaces, with or without VPN client software. Within an SSL VPN, a remote PC will generally only require an SSL enabled web browser.
All technology required for accessing certain applications from a remote workplace are integrated in the SSL VPN server module: Web-Proxy and Port Forwarding. Where Internet Explorer exists on a remote PC, all transmitted data will be deleted from the machine at the end of each session by means of the Feature Cache Protection function.
Implemented routers, and complementary firewall functionalities for remote access requirements will facilitate various operating modes for the Secure Enterprise Server:
- As a dedicated VPN gateway within the LAN, i.e. after the IP router and firewall (DMZ) at the head office, or at a branch office.
- With direct link to a public network (ISDN/DSL) as a Network Access Server (NAS)/router, firewall and VPN gateway, e.g. at a branch office.

The NCP VPN gateway supports dial-in and dial-out connections. Integrated firewall mechanisms (Portfilter) provide reliable protection against unauthorised network access. User friendly configuration via Secure Server Manager (included in the standard solution package).
The software architecture is highly scaleable and modular. Upgrades allow for flexible, and requirement based tunnel expansion. With our easy to use upgrades, a state of the art VPN solution can be maintained at any time. In regards to hardware, any PC based system of your choice can be implemented.
An additional advantage is the option of parallel operation of several NCP Secure Enterprise Servers. In ordert to warrant a balanced load and availability for all systems, the installation of a High Availability Server will be required.
Our hybrid NCP Secure Enterprise Server is available for the operating systems - 32-Bit: Windows 2000, Windows XP Prof., Windows 2003 Server,
- 64-Bit: Windows Server 2008 (Beta)
