Secure Wi-Fi for sensitive data
The Swiss insurance company Swiss Mobiliar implements NCP's Secure Enterprise Solution
"Implementing NCP's Next Generation Network Access technology paid off for us"
(Stefan Geiser, VPN project manager at Swiss Mobiliar)
"Swiss Mobiliar" required features a professional virtual private network (VPN) should provide anyway: universal dial-up to the company network, easy handling, end-to-end security even at hotspots, inhibition of unchecked internet access, high protection of the end device, central management and simple certificate handling. Before the transition to NCP's solution, "Swiss Mobiliar" used a VPN which was based on Checkpoint products. However, plain every-day-use had pushed this solution to its limits. Die Mobiliar assessed various solutions of various vendors, but only the NCP solution could meet all expectations.

Best IPsec/SSL product
NCP engineering wins the 2011 Info Security Products Guide Awards in the category "best IPsec/SSL VPN solution" for the third time in a row – previous awards: 2009 and 2010. This underscores NCP's international leadership in the remote access market. The prestigious Global Product Excellence Awards recognizes security and IT vendors worldwide that offer the best-of-breed technology with the most reliable solutions, customer satisfaction and overall excellence. The selection process involved more than 50 judges evaluating the four IPsec/SSL VPN category finalists: Juniper Networks, SonicWALL, and HOB, Inc.
"The IPsec/SSL VPN category was very competitive and full of strong contenders this year. However, our judges felt that NCP engineering's enterprise solution stood out among the rest for its unique blend of remote access management and IPsec/SSL technology, which is ideal for today's dynamic remote access environment," said San Madan, Info Security Products Guide editor.

Europeans' lax approach to IT security
New research findings of the NCP engineering GmbH have shone light on Europeans and their lax approach to IT security when working out of the office remotely. Despite soaring IT security threats, white-collar crimes and the high profile of its damaging impact on organizations, 52% of Europeans admitted that they would access a network insecurely whilst working remotely. The survey was conducted by NCP engineering, which surveyed 300 information-based workers across the UK, France and Germany. The workers were questioned about how they approached remote access to the company network.
Simon Ford, director at NCP engineering said: "It is very disheartening to see that more than 50% of respondents would access a network insecurely whilst working remotely. Worse still, 47% of UK respondents who said they would access the network insecurely work with company data while working remotely. Whilst 53% of UK respondents who answered that they would access the network securely work with personal data."
