NCP Secure Enterprise Mac Client


From now on, the NCP Secure Enterprise Mac Client supports the Mac OS X operating systems Leopard 10.5 (Intel) and Snow Leopard 10.6.

Mobile employees, using the VPN client suite on Mac OS, are now able to access the company network remotely - no matter where they are: one click is sufficient. The NCP Secure Enterprise Management System permanently monitors and controls the fully automatic remote access VPN.

NCP Secure Enterprise Mac Clients are easy to handle and compared to traditional client software, they feature an extensive range of features regarding communication and security. On top of that NCP's VPN solution is complemented through comprehensive network access control features.

New service release of the NCP Secure Enterprise VPN Server 8.05

Improved web proxy features of the SSL VPN
The service release 8.05 offers an improved web proxy feature of the NCP Secure Enterprise VPN Server's SSL VPN feature. This significantly increased compatibility to web applications via SSL VPN.

More SSL VPN support for all mobile end-devices
In future, you will also be able to access your companies web applications, e.g. the Intranet, via SSL VPN and a default web-browser, when using the following platforms:

  • Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad)
  • Google Android
  • Microsoft Windows Phone respectively Mobile 7
  • RIM Blackberry (starting with Blackberry 6)

VPN via L2TP over IPsec for Android and Apple's iOS / support of IKEv2
The new NCP VPN gateway allows the user to connect Android-based end-devices via L2TP over IPsec. This means, each Android-based device is now able set up a data connection to the NCP VPN gateway with the IPsec client that comes as standard with each device. The same is true for devices running on Apple's iOS. Furthermore, incoming VPN connections are now supported via the IPsec IKEv2 protocol.

NCP plans to release the NCP Secure Enterprise VPN Server 8.05 in week 19.

12. German IT Security Congress of the BSI

"Securely enter the digital world of tomorrow" is the motto of the security congress 2011, initiated by the German federal office for information security (BSI). The congress takes place in Bonn, Germany, on May 10-12, 2011. 42 presentations, four keynotes, an open forum on cloud computing with high-ranking participants and an exhibition, inform the visitors about on the latest developments, dangers and opportunities in the information technology and invite them to professional debates. The congress covers topics like cyber security, cloud computing, security and mobility, secure platforms, networks and applications, information security management, developments in cryptography, as well as the new German ID card, De-Mail and strengthening of the information society.
