Perpetual

The customer purchases the corresponding NCP product once at the valid conditions and receives the current license version. The ownership of the license is transferred to the customer. An annual maintenance contract is available for the Enterprise Solution. This entitles the customer to free product updates and technical support according to the terms of the contract.

"Pay-per-Use"

NCP offers a pay-per-use model for flexible licensing. The customer receives all required enterprise licenses including client, servers, management and tunnel licenses in the desired quantity. In addition, all services of the maintenance contracts are included, such as product updates and technical support according to the terms of the contract. Pay-per-use licenses are billed based on licenses used per month They are billed according to the monthly usage report.

In this licensing model, ownership of the license is not transferred to the customer. As such, pay-per-use is similar to a rental agreement.

Temporary or Pandemic Use

This model is a mix of perpetual and pay-per-use licensing. The customer purchases a fixed number of licenses including maintenance. In addition, NCP provides further licenses for short-term, higher usage. The monthly report is used to determine whether the quantity actually used was above the purchased level or not. A temporary monthly fee will be charged for additional use.

Subscription

In the subscription model, the customer acquires the right to use a license for a fixed period of time determined in advance. The subscription may be subject to a volume licensing agreement. Within the subscription period, the customer is entitled to product updates free of charge. After the end of the subscription, a new contract must be concluded. In some cases, add-ons can be purchased for some products, such as a higher level of support. The ownership of the license is not transferred to the customer. The subscription price for the must be paid in advance for the subscription period.
