For more than seven years, INFICON has relied on NCP Secure Enterprise VPN to provide secure remote access for employees around the world. Over the course of this long-standing partnership, the solution has been continuously adapted to support global connectivity while simplifying centralized VPN management.

The Challenge

Connecting global locations and supporting a mobile workforce presented INFICON with a number of challenges. Offices around the world needed secure connectivity to the corporate network, while employees required reliable access to business applications and corporate resources regardless of where they were working. Whether employees were working from hotels, airports, or regions with restricted network conditions, secure remote access had to remain available at all times. At the same time, the IT team needed to balance operational efficiency with the highest security standards.

Project Goals

The goal of the project was to implement a future-proof VPN solution that would provide secure remote access for employees worldwide while remaining easy to manage through a centralized administration platform. The solution also needed to support Windows 10, integrate seamlessly into the existing IT infrastructure, and ensure reliable connectivity even under challenging network conditions, such as those encountered in China.

The Solution

NCP Secure Enterprise VPN proved to be the best choice thanks to its ease of use, simple administration, flexible configuration options, and straightforward deployment. Alongside the VPN clients installed on users' endpoint devices, NCP Secure Enterprise Management (SEM) serves as the central management platform, while multiple NCP Secure Enterprise VPN Servers deployed around the world provide reliable remote access. Today, more than 200 employees connect securely to the corporate network using NCP Secure Enterprise Clients for Windows 10, with only a small number of legacy Windows 7 systems still in operation. NCP's patented Path Finder Technology enables secure VPN connections even from networks where firewall restrictions would normally block IPsec communication. In addition, the solution has been enhanced with multi-factor authentication, providing an even higher level of security.
